Hi, Nikos and me have just come up with an interesting idea. Someone gives a word in English, and another person has to give the word in another language. Then, if noone else can think of an equivalent for the word in English, someone else posts another word in English (the starting word has to be in English, so as everyone can contribute with what language they want). So, to start off: hi, the French word for it is salut, and the Spanish is hola, (which also can be hello)and in German it's hallo. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these please. So, I await your replies.

Hi again.
Nobody posted here for long time so i will ask about another word. What about how are you? In Greek is pos eisai or you can say ti kaneis which really mean what are you doing but they say it when they ask how are you as well.
So what about other languages?
The reason we created this topick is to learn some new words and also it would be nice to learn how to greed other users in their own language.

In Greek we say hronia polla which means many years. So we wish to somebody to live many years lol.
Also we say "Na ta ekatostiseis" which is a wish for somebody to reach 100 years. But if you say that to an 80 year old person they wouldn't be pleased hahaha.
